House Prices Begin Rising

According to new statistics released by the Nationwide Building Society have shown that UK house prices rose by 0.2% in July.

From the table above taken from the Nationwide report we can see that house prices in July were only 0.4% lower than the same time last year.

Robert Gardner, Nationwide’s Chief Economist, said ,”Stability has been the watchword for the UK housing market over the past 12 months. Sluggish demand for homes, combined with only a gradual rise in the supply of available properties, has helped to keep property prices relatively stable”.
