British Gas Fined £2.5 Million
Energy watchdog Ofgem has fined British Gas £2.5 million because the energy provider didn’t deal with complaints correctly according to the ombudsman.
Ofgem found British Gas guilty of not re-opening complaints when customers didn’t feel their problems had been resolved.
In the aftermath of the ruling Ofgem said, “Today’s finding highlights basic failures in British Gas’ customer service, particularly in dealing with some of its small business customers,”
