Cost Of Living "rises"

Cost Of Living "rises"

According to the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, the cost of living has risen for families as the Government aims to cut childcare assistance and freeze child benefit.

The report suggests that minimum wage would need to increase to £7.67 an hour for a single person and £9.41 an hour each for a couple with 2 children.

"In practice, earnings have risen by less than inflation, meaning that many people on low incomes are finding it substantially harder to make ends meet than a year ago," the report said.
